Full Job Description
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), client facing candidate will meet with clients, input and prepare personal tax returns. Prepare tax planning projections for the coming year. Should be versed in small business tax preparation, opportunity for trust and estate tax planning if not yet knowledgeable. Would have opportunity to work with the wealth advisors and part take or lead in estate planning matters. This CPA could also prepare and present financial plans with the team and help maintain new and existing client relationships. This candidate could have the opportunity to expand their knowledge by obtaining additional credentials such as the CFP. Essential Duties / Responsibilities: • Meet with and prepare tax returns for existing clients • Prepare small business tax returns 1065, some 1120's • Work on estate plans and estate tax returns, including NJ-ITR, 1040, 706. • Tax planning for clients throughout the year • Financial planning/client budgets • Participate in retirement and estate planning meetings • New business development opportunities • Support the financial advisors with tax planning Preferred Qualifications / Requirements: • CPA designation • Tenure: 3-10 years • Highly organized and efficient • Ability to self-manage • In office position • Lacerte tax software experience a plus • Excellent verbal and writing skills • Growth oriented high energy individual Desired Characteristics: • Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills • Attention to detail • Strong work ethic • Ability to work some Saturdays and evenings for client meetings
