The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is a key member of the IDT, collaborating with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement care plans and providing condition updates to the clinical team. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the COTA provides restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence, safety, and performance of ADLs.

On the day-to-day, you will:- Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing
- Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on participants' individual treatment plans
- Handle scheduling of participants' treatments, clinical visits, and billing
- Document occupational therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to the use of devices, techniques, and activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, and endurance, and other factors affecting independence in performing ADLs
Job requirements include: - Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) associate's degree from an accredited program
- Valid California OTA license, or proof of license eligibility
- Minimum of two (2) years of OTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
- OTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs
