Responsibilities- Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Support patients in exercises and activities that improve their daily living skills.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report to the occupational therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and at-home exercises.
- Maintain and organize therapy equipment and treatment areas.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and strategies for improvement.
- Provide encouragement and motivation to patients during therapies.
Requirements- Must be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with current licensure.
- Associate's degree from an accredited COTA program required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate attitude toward patients and their families.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and occupational therapy practices.
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
