Position Overview

As a COTA you will be collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you'll participate in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, ensuring each

Responsibilities
  • Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
  • Support patients in exercises and activities that improve their daily living skills.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and report to the occupational therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and at-home exercises.
  • Maintain and organize therapy equipment and treatment areas.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and strategies for improvement.
  • Provide encouragement and motivation to patients during therapies.


Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with current licensure.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited COTA program required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate attitude toward patients and their families.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and occupational therapy practices.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
