What You Will DoAs a CNM in Maternity Services with Ascension, your role will be managing laboring patients in L&D, evaluating triage patients, postpartum rounding, first call for the ED gyn patients, and first assisting in cesarean sections. You will be supported by the physician on call, who remains in-house with you.

- Manage labor and induction pathways on the maternity floor, ensuring timely initiations and personalized clinical oversight to support a safe, high-quality birthing experience.
- Lead rapid clinical assessments in OB Triage by evaluating and prioritizing patients presenting with complications past 20 weeks gestation, illness, or injury based on acuity and greatest need.
- Mentor the next generation of physicians by teaching medical interns efficient triage protocols and evidence-based delivery techniques on the labor floor.

What You Will NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certified Nurse Midwife credentialed from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Master's or Doctorate of Science in Nursing or Midwifery or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
