Full Job Description
Come and join our midwifery practice at Gifford Healthcare in beautiful Central Vermont. We are seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to complete our team of four midwives.

We are a midwifery-led practice serving both our local community and patients from across the state and neighboring states who desire patient-centered care.

Gifford is a critical access hospital serving a broad patient demographic. Midwives at Gifford have the opportunity to practice full-scope midwifery care, including obstetrics, gynecology, first assist, ultrasound, and external cephalic versions.

Commitment to both our patients and our team is highly valued and is an important consideration in the search process. We work with a high level of autonomy in a close-knit team and strive to provide individualized care that is consistent, flexible, and trustworthy.

Our Birthing Center has five LDRP rooms with an exceptional nursing team. We attend approximately 220 births per year. We support physiologic birth, waterbirth, VBAC, and twin gestations. We provide care for higher-risk pregnancies in collaboration with our OB colleagues.

The ideal candidate is someone who is looking to put down roots in our community. Call can be taken within a 30-minute radius.

Applicants must be certified as a Nurse Midwife and hold all required licensure and certifications.
