JOB SUMMARY

The CRNA is a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse who is responsible for working in conjunction with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians and medical professionals to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education
  • Master's Degree in Nursing Anesthesia

Minimum Work Experience
  • No previous experience

Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Registered Nurse
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - State of Texas
  • CPR-ACLS

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies
  • Thorough knowledge of best evidenced-based practices in anesthesia
  • Knowledge in conflict resolution
  • Extensive skill in observation and monitoring patients using vision, tactile sensation, and sense of smell
  • Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising
  • Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures
  • Skill in problem solving
  • Skill in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures
