HDR is currently seeking a
Central Texas BES Team Lead to lead a team of engineers and designers with experience in complex architectural engineering projects across several market sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Science, Justice, and Technology. The Building Engineering Services Design Center is a full service, multi-disciplinary team including mechanical, electrical, structural and civil engineers.
The primary duties of the Central Texas BES Team Lead are to provide the overall leadership to the team, identify growth opportunities through mentoring and training, coordinate the design work of Engineers and Designers working within a multi-disciplined, full service, A/E team throughout the entire project development, and create a collaborative and motivating team culture to promote design excellence across the practice. The responsibilities will also include being involved with supporting marketing and project pursuits, workplan development, quality control, recruiting, and team development. The individual must be highly motivated and will be the Lead on multiple multi-disciplinary projects and may be called to manage projects that have a predominantly engineering focus.
In the role of
Central Texas BES Team Lead, we'll count on you to:
• Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
• Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other section
• Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interview
• Be directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issue
• See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
• Implement, monitor and support company policy
• Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel
• Manage and develop multidiscipline team
• Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production effort
• Perform other duties as needed

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 7 years experience
- Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Good leadership and organizational skills
