Job Description:

The Central Industrial Engineer (IE) - Capital and Strategy manages the regional CAB budget, oversees the consolidation of local performance reporting into regional overviews, supports the network master planning process, and drives competence within IE at all levels within the region.

The role is a crucial business partner to the Accelerator Supply Leadership team by continuously making improvements to our supply processes, challenging site and regional supply performance, and driving a sufficient regional cost savings pipeline through Value Leadership in Conversion.

This role is based in Chicago with regular in-office collaboration expected. Flexibility is a key enabler-empowering associates to make choices that support both business outcomes and personal needs, including remote work.

What are we looking for?
  • University Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering or Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of working experience in a manufacturing site, ideally with a background in industrial engineering, engineering, and operations.
  • High analytical skills and the right attention for details
  • Systems knowledge: MS Office (excellent Excel knowledge)


What will be your key responsibilities?

Provide the Accelerator Strategy on Capital investment:
  • To Support Performance, growth, savings and infrastructure.
  • Ensures timely and smooth governance approvals.
  • Delivers project coaching for BU's and writes projects for more strategic projects.
  • Analyses and tracks Capital investments to ensure progress and completion to target spend.
  • Heavily support strategy in Supply Network Design and supporting BU investment benefits and prioritization/trade-offs.


Lead regional supply chain processes
  • CAB: Manages the delivery of the regional CAB budget and approval process. Brings projects to regional governance and to periodic global/OOP CAB approval forums. Preparation of the quarterly & annual CAB booklets.
  • Master Planning: Documents network roadmap status and provides sites with coaching on master planning process
  • SiG: Partners with engineering team on driving network SiG roadmap
  • Supply Review: Supports manufacturing leadership team supply review feeder meeting
  • Annual Mars Inc processes: IVCP, AEP, Etc.


Design, initiate and drive or support specific improvement projects / programs within supply
  • Supply Network Design: Coaching teams on EP, NPV, Margin and recommended scenarios
  • Performance related: OPEX, productivity, driving results, etc...
  • CAB related: Composite projects, infrastructure, R&D, offices, etc and the metrics for calculating benefits and trade-offs between projects and opportunities


Support the Competence building of the IE community
  • Drives competence in the regional IE community (site and regional)
  • Supports IE competence weeks (when needed) - review training requirements & proposed materials

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 153,600.00 - USD 211,200.00
