What You'll Do
This CDL-A flatbed position is built for experienced steel haulers looking for premium weekly pay, consistent freight, and dependable weekend home time. Drivers haul dedicated stainless-steel freight from a customer near Calvert, Alabama, then pick up available backhaul freight that keeps trucks moving toward the next outbound load instead of returning empty.
Your Equipment
Assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors are paired with 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers equipped with 12 winches, straps, and two lightweight six-foot drop tarps. Drivers stay with the same trailer throughout each trip.

Freight Details
Outbound freight includes smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets. Approximately 75% of loads require tarping using lighter drop tarps designed for this account. Freight is primarily live loaded and live unloaded, and tarp pay is included as part of the account's overall compensation program.
Drivers benefit from planned backhaul freight that helps reduce unnecessary empty miles while supporting productive weekly schedules.
Pay & Benefits
Weekly earnings range from $2,000 to $2,100. Qualified drivers are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Orientation is held Monday through Thursday and pays $100 per day. Hotel accommodations, meals, and travel arrangements are provided.

Driver Qualifications
Valid CDL-A license required
Minimum one year of OTR experience within the last five years
Minimum six months of flatbed experience
Steel-hauling experience required
Current coil-hauling certification required
Experience with tarping and load securement required
Acceptable driving record required
