Job Description:

Overview: Join Parsons as a Senior CBTC Systems Engineer in our Rail and Transit sector, where you will lead and innovate in the realm of rail transit systems. This role combines the responsibilities of project engineering and client consultation to deliver cutting-edge solutions in Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) and Automatic Train Control (ATC) systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage complex rail systems projects, ensuring system design schedules and budgets are met.
  • Provide engineering support and prepare technical specifications for CBTC systems, including functional, subsystem, testing, maintenance, and training requirements.
  • Oversee and perform technical reviews of system designs for transit systems, including legacy and new rail fleets.
  • Conduct oversight and witnessing of factory testing and field implementation for train control subsystems.
  • Support migration and cutover planning for CBTC/ATC on "brownfield" rail transit systems.
  • Manage configuration and change management processes for large CBTC procurements.
  • Develop and implement system assurance and quality plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as CENELEC.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of related work experience in rail systems projects.
  • Proven experience in managing significant and complex rail systems projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Systems Engineering Certification and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) desirable.
  • Experience with IEEE/CENELEC/ISO standards.
  • Strong familiarity with key suppliers such as Hitachi, Siemens, and Alstom.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to client or project site locations as required.

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
