Job DescriptionJob Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced Field Superintendent to lead and oversee construction and maintenance activities. The Field Superintendent will supervise field crews, ensure site compliance as well as local/state codes and company standards, enforce safety, coordinate with operations, and deliver projects on time and on budget in a fast-paced oil & gas environment. Travel may vary, and the role requires a willingness to work extended hours, and rotational schedules as needed.
You will serve as one of the primary field contacts with operations, project managers, inspectors, and clients. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep oilfield experience and strong communication skills.
ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:- We are seeking a highly experienced Field Superintendent to lead and oversee construction and maintenance activities
- The Field Superintendent will supervise Crane & Rigging field crews, ensure site compliance as well as local/state codes and company standards, enforce safety, coordinate with operations, and deliver projects on time and on budget in a fast-paced oil & gas environment
- Travel may vary, and the role requires a willingness to work extended hours, and rotational schedules as needed
- You will serve as the primary field contact with operations, project managers, inspectors, and clients while managing multiple active sites
- Supervising and managing field crews on oil & gas projects including well pads, compressor stations, SWDs, production facilities, and related infrastructure
- Ensuring all crane & rigging work complies with local/state codes and company standards
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating manpower, equipment, and materials across site
- Enforcing all safety policies, conducting job safety analyses (JSAs), toolbox talks, field audits, and GPS compliance
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex crane & rigging issues; reviewing drawings, schematics, and scope of work to ensure accurate execution
- Tracking daily progress, time, and production; submitting field reports
- Mentoring foremen and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification
QualificationsEssential Qualifications and Education:- Active NCCER or NCCCO certification is required
- The role also requires strong knowledge of oilfield crane & rigging
- Extensive experience in oil and gas environments is required, along with proven leadership and crew management skills, a strong understanding of jobsite safety and regulatory compliance, and the ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- Strong computer skills for daily reporting, scheduling, email, and tablets are preferred
