About the Role:The Cath Lab Registered Nurse I plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular care team, providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing catheterization procedures. This position is responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure. The nurse will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and support to patients and their families. Additionally, the role involves educating patients about their procedures and post-operative care, fostering a supportive environment. Ultimately, the Cath Lab Registered Nurse I contributes to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Minimum Qualifications:- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Previous nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in critical care or telemetry.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in a catheterization lab or similar environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and assist patients for catheterization procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is ready and functioning.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during procedures, promptly reporting any changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Educate patients and their families about the procedure, recovery process, and any necessary lifestyle changes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care provided and any observations made during procedures.
