Responsibilities

Scrub, circulate, and monitor cardiac and vascular procedures
Support Neuro and Interventional Radiology exams
Cover EP cases if appropriately trained
Utilize GE MacLab for physiological monitoring and Paragon EMR for patient lookup
Participate in on-call duty including one night per week and one weekend per month
Work within a department comprising various labs including IR/Neuro Lab and Hybrid Room
Ensure compliance with best practices for sterile technique during procedures

Job Title: Special Procedures Technologist

Profession: Cath / Angio Lab

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 10 hour days

Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum three years preferred

License: ARRT, OBMI

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have: Good understanding of scrubbing cases and good sterile technique

Description:
This position will scrub, circulate, and monitor Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac, Vascular, Neuro, and Interventional Radiology exams.

There will be an opportunity to cover EP cases if appropriately trained.

Equipment utilized includes GE, Philips, and Siemens imaging equipment.

GE MacLab physiological monitoring and Paragon EMR will be used for patient lookup and medication charging.

PYXIS Medication system will also be utilized.

The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of scrubbing cases and maintain good sterile technique.

A minimum of three years of experience is preferred.

The position requires one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month.

The call team consists of two Technologists and two Nurses.

The department includes one IR/Neuro Lab, one Cath Lab, one EP Lab, one Combo Lab, and a Hybrid Room.

Surgical scrubs will be provided by the hospital.

The training and orientation program for this position lasts one to two weeks.

This position does not require floating to other units.
