Job Description

Category Manager – Indirect Procurement (Professional & Business Services)

Lead the strategy, performance, and supplier governance of the Professional & Business Services category—primarily in the Americas—while aligning regional execution with global priorities to deliver value and effectively partner with the business across a complex services landscape.


Your role:

  • Translate global PBS category strategy into Americas execution plans while driving measurable value through savings, cost avoidance, and efficiency improvements.
  • Build and manage a robust savings pipeline, leveraging demand management, specification optimization, and full spend visibility.
  • Lead strategic supplier and ecosystem management, including segmentation, performance governance, consolidation, and MSP oversight.
  • Drive commercial excellence, leading complex sourcing and negotiations while owning contracting frameworks (rate cards, SoWs, outcome-based models).
  • Act as a strategic business partner, influencing stakeholders, aligning procurement with business priorities, and driving fact-based decision making.


You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's/ master's degree in business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement/Category Management (preferably Professional Services), with a strong track record in supplier negotiations, commercial value delivery, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders within a global, matrix organization.
  • Your skills include managing top-tier professional services suppliers, with a strong understanding of SoW-based procurement, external workforce models, and data-driven decision making, while demonstrating ownership, integrity, and the ability to build trusted relationships and challenge stakeholders to drive impactful, transparent outcomes.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details:

The pay range for this position in Nashville Tennessee is $116000 to $155000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.   

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found .
