Position Overview

International Motors is seeking a Category Manager-After Market to join our team!

 

The Category Manager-After Market plays a key role within International Motors’ procurement organization, offering broad exposure to the business and meaningful influence on sourcing decisions that drive results. This role is designed for a procurement professional who is eager to deepen their understanding of the supply base, procurement processes, and how sourcing decisions connect across the enterprise.

As a member of a Category Management Team (CMT), you’ll work cross‑functionally with stakeholders across product development, program management, quality, manufacturing, finance, logistics, supply chain, aftermarket parts, pricing and risk management. This collaborative environment provides a front‑row seat to how complex decisions are made and executed across International Motors.

In the Aftermarket Procurement space, you’ll manage an estimated $300M+ in spend, supporting categories such as Filtration and Petrochemicals. You’ll be trusted with significant responsibility and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on cost, quality, and supplier performance.

Responsibilities
  • Influence and align internal and external stakeholders to shape sourcing strategies and drive successful execution across the organization.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, finance, supply chain, and program teams to support business and program objectives.
  • Lead cost‑reduction initiatives, identifying opportunities and executing projects that deliver measurable financial impact.
  • Drive strategic sourcing efforts for new product programs and business transfers, ensuring supplier readiness, competitiveness, and continuity of supply.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, establishing strong commercial terms while maintaining compliance and long‑term partnerships.
  • Own supplier performance management, using data and structured reviews to improve quality, delivery, cost, and overall supplier effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with other TRATON Brands to support sourcing strategies, consolidate tail‑spend suppliers, and strengthen the global supply base.
  • Manage the workload of an assigned sourcing specialist where applicable
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
  • At least 1 years of lead experience

  • Master's degree and at least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
  • At least 1 years of lead experience

  • At least 8 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
  • At least 1 years of lead experience
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
