Full Job Description

Position Summary:

Redaptive seeks a highly motivated Category Management Specialist to join our US-based Operations team. This role reports to the Category Management Lead and driving supplier onboarding, supplier compliance and overall category management support. You will support the overall Sourcing and Procurement function within the Customer Operations team.  Ensuring the Redaptive Supplier Network is compliant and ready to support services for our customers is a critical function for Redaptive and our Customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Drive and keep the Active Supplier Network at 90% compliance for all required supplier information and compliance documentation (contracts, safety, insurance, code of conduct, credit checks and EMR).  This will require heavy phone call and email follow up
  • Ensure timely supplier onboarding for all key partner types.  Target finalizing onboarding in 30 days or less
  • Leverage Process Unity or any future vendor database/repository to update Supplier profiles and documentation.  Perform data entry and maintain data integrity via Salesforce and other internal databases throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the Category Management Lead and team and assist with supplier negotiation or tasks related to new business opportunities
  • Support the Category Management function with supplier business reviews
  • Assist with Project Management – work cross functionally with internal stakeholders (Ops, Product, Sales, Finance,, Legal, etc.) to build alignment on both specific projects and category strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand sourcing & procurement needs and requirements.
  • Prepare and issue project-level contracts to vendors through DocuSign.
  • Work as a backup to the Procurement function to support with PO creation, SSA creation, and Lien Waiver collection
  • Support the Category Manager to evaluate supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and focus.
  • Adaptable, flexible to changing priorities and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage several projects and tasks at one time
  • Review, cleanse, and prepare large datasets for database uploading.
  • Assist with standardizing and optimizing processes, including process documentation.

Required Abilities and Skills

Technical & Analytical

  • Excellent communication skills – phone, email and messaging
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional follow up and task close out.  Organized with an eye for detail. Follow-up and drive tasks to completion.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and focus.
  • 1-4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience/exposure in any of the following a plus: Lighting, HVAC, electrical, building engineering, building construction, metering, manufacturing, or other related industries.
  • Build a deep understanding of Redaptive offerings and industry trends.
  • Excellent presentation, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with both commodity and service offerings is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 2–4+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, operations, or a related procurement role.
  • Experience using Salesforce, NetSuite, or other ERP/CRM software.
  • Previous experience in procurement, sourcing supply chain management, or related field is strongly preferred.

Travel

Up to 10% of travel time expected for this position, predominantly to suppliers/contractors and/or industry events within the US.
