Position Summary:
The Category Maintenance Manager (Health Science) will be responsible for implementing Maintenance Foundations and the maintenance related elements of NAOOMI for the assigned Maintenance Categories. This role will be a key liaison between the Category Engineering, Nestle Nutrition & Health Hub Engineering, Manufacturing Excellence, and Factory personnel teams. The Category Maintenance Manager is a People Leader role and will also have primary responsibilities for coaching, training and assisting Factories in executing the Nestle Maintenance Strategy at an optimal cost. This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate's geographic location. Strong preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance within Bridgewater, New Jersey, Solon, Ohio, Boston or Sudbury, MA, Leonia, NJ, Chicago or Franklin Park, IL or Eau Claire, WI.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, improve, and implement the Category Maintenance strategy to deliver the category goals.
• Provide clear alignment and regular reporting of team performance and progress to Corporate Engineering, Technical & Production (T&P) Leadership, USA Zone Engineering HUB and Global Maintenance organizations.
• Ensure team objectives, priorities, and deliverables are aligned with the Technical & Production Market roadmap and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure Category Maintenance team is meeting the factory and market needs for maintenance.
• Align Category strategy with Nestle Continuous Excellence implementation and global maintenance requirements.
• Ensure Factory visits are effective and focus on building competency.
• Ensure processes and systems are properly documented and communicated to factories.
• Evaluate and develop the team to more effectively deliver business results.
• Maintain expertise in all aspects of maintenance management and how they may apply to the strategy.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the market maintenance systems.
• Leverage internal and external benchmarking to validate strategy effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and achieve best-in-class maintenance performance.
• Demonstrate and promote Nestlé Leadership behaviors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and results-oriented execution.
• Build credibility and relationships with factory personnel to be regarded as an asset and expert in Maintenance execution, gaining alignment and support for the strategy by factory personnel.
• Build, improve and manage Maintenance and Innovation (M&I) budgets to deliver reliable equipment performance at optimal cost.
• Develop competencies in the category to support the M&I objectives aligned with Nestle global initiatives.
• Implement market processes and tools with examples for maintenance systems as needed.
• Implement market guidance documents to clarify issues in the market.
• Execute training materials to address needs in the market and provide clarity on market needs.
• Coach, implement, monitor and adjust the M&I strategy to drive sustainable business results for all Factories.
• Ownership of Maintenance system including
