What you'll do

Category Strategy & Growth
  • Develop short and long-term category growth strategies aligned with Walmart's business objectives.
  • Identify category opportunities through shopper, consumer, and market insights.• Lead annual business planning and category reviews with Walmart merchants.
  • Translate trends into actionable recommendations that drive sales, share, and profit growth.

Assortment & Modular Excellence
  • Lead assortment optimization and modular recommendations.
  • Analyze productivity, space allocation, and shelf performance.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations for SKU rationalization and new item placement.
  • Partner with merchandising teams to maximize category productivity.

Shopper & Consumer Insights
  • Leverage consumer behavior, panel data, loyalty insights, and digital analytics.
  • Identify emerging trends and white space opportunities.
  • Build compelling category stories that influence merchant decisions.
  • Connect shopper needs to assortment, pricing, promotion, and innovation strategies.

Omnichannel & Digital Leadership
  • Drive integration of in-store and eCommerce category strategies.
  • Analyze online search, conversion, ratings & reviews, and digital shelf performance.
  • Partner with Walmart Connect and digital teams to optimize category growth.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate omnichannel penetration.

Strategic Partnership Management
  • Build trusted relationships with Walmart merchants, category teams, and leadership.
  • Serve as the category thought leader internally and externally.
  • Lead executive-level category presentations and business reviews.
  • Influence decisions through fact-based selling and strategic recommendations.

Analytics & Performance Management.

Monitor category KPIs including:
  1. Sales Growth
  2. Market Share
  3. Category Share
  4. Velocity
  5. Distribution
  6. Profitability
  7. Omnichannel Penetration
  • Develop actionable insights from large and complex datasets.
  • Deliver clear recommendations supported by robust analytics.

Thesalary range for this role is $180000.00 and $230,000.00. This range represents thegood-faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offerfor this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, thisposition may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, asapplicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package asdescribed above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as thecandidate's skills, experience, education, training, and work location. Thisposting is intended to comply with all applicable state and local paytransparency laws.
