Full Job Description
Category Buyer is Responsible for executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, and driving cost-effective, reliable supply across assigned categories. Supports negotiations, data analysis, and system management to ensure efficient operations, supply continuity, and alignment with cross-functional stakeholders in NA Aftersales. Your Impact • Execute sourcing initiatives across Plastic, Rubber, and Metal Fabrication Categories in accordance with established category strategies. Support RFQs, supplier selection, and sourcing decisions for new and existing parts. Maintain sourcing rules in SAP to ensure proper allocation and flow of materials across distribution centers. • Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned suppliers to ensure performance in cost, quality, and delivery. Identify and develop new suppliers to enhance supply continuity and competitiveness. Support supplier onboarding, data setup, and ongoing master data accuracy (i.e., cost, lead times, order quantities, country of origin) • Lead and support supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and lowest total cost of ownership. Address invoice discrepancies, price variances, and ensure resolution with suppliers. Contribute cost savings initiatives and track performance against targets. Collect and analyze sourcing and cost data to support fact-based decision-making. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and cost drivers impacting assigned commodities • Maintain procurement system accuracy including supplier data, pricing, and sourcing parameters. Support New Product Introduction (NPI), supersession, and lifecycle management activities. Ensure smooth ordering, receiving, and supply flow to North America distribution centers. Track supplier KPIs (cost, delivery, quality) and address performance gaps. Generate and implement cost-saving ideas, resourcing opportunities, and process improvements. • Support supplier base optimization and risk mitigation initiatives. Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Aftersales teams to ensure alignment on sourcing priorities. Coordinate supplier communications and prepare supporting materials for supplier discussions. This position is eligible for a bonus based on 10% compensation. Your Workplace This role follows AGCO's on-site work model, with employees primarily working from an AGCO location for 4 days per week to support collaboration and teamwork.
