Job Description:

  • Troubleshoots and corrects recording instrument malfunctions or unusual patient problems that interfere with recordings.
  • Independently prioritizes clinical and administrative work and identifies process improvements.
  • Processes patient and department records, ensuring documentation of performed tests in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Assists physicians in performing specialized cardiovascular procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Evaluates and documents patient status, responds appropriately, and intervenes or refers in a timely manner to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise, competence, and proficiency based on knowledge and skills, exceeding essential job responsibilities per department standards.
  • Commits to continued learning and shares knowledge with patients and co-workers, demonstrating team player characteristics and punctuality.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities to evaluate care outcomes driven by curiosity and a desire to know more.
  • Accepts accountability for using evidence to monitor and improve care based on regulatory and practice standards.
  • Effectively and safely uses equipment, time, personnel, and supplies to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.

  • Adjusts approach based on patient and family understanding of test procedures and deals with various personality types, ages, and levels of consciousness.
