Qualifications

• Board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate required.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) is required before starting employment.
• Current DEA Registration and state-issued prescribing authority are mandatory.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications needed; Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certification required within one year.
• Preferred: At least one year of experience in cardiovascular critical care or equivalent CVICU experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess and manage acutely ill patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop patient-centered care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations and interventions for complex cardiovascular cases.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and recovery strategies.
