The award-winning physicians at are all board-certified, many having served fellowships or received additional training with leading programs. Our expert clinicians utilize continuing medical education to further research and enhance collaboration, leading to better patient outcomes.

• Work in conjunction with the attending cardiothoracic surgeon, and non-surgical providers, for medical care of cardiothoracic surgical patients.
• Perform initial evaluation, history, and physical examination of all assigned patients.
• Perform daily assessment and formulate plan of care for all assigned patients and direct admissions.
• Complete patient discharge on all assigned patients.
• Responsible for the care of all postoperative patients in our TOHU step down unit.
• Participate in ongoing education, quality, and research projects.
• Contribute to service-related databases as indicated.
• Participate in education of patients and families during their inpatient course.

Qualifications

• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
• A Valid Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one is required
• Graduate from accredited educational program for Nurse Practitioners
• ICU experience preferred, experience as an independent clinician required
