Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
  • Manage preoperative and postoperative cardiothoracic surgery patients
  • Perform daily inpatient rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans
  • Assist in the operating room as a first assist during cardiothoracic surgical procedures
  • Provide postoperative care, including chest tube management, wound evaluations, and patient education
  • Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and imaging results
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Participate in outpatient clinic visits, consultations, and follow-up appointments
  • Document patient care accurately and timely within the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, rehabilitation services, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards


Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current Florida APRN or PA licensure in the state of Florida
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery experience

Pay Range:

$91,313.86 - $169,845.73
