The Cardiology RN is in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. As a Cardiology RN, you will provide information to patients so they may utilize and benefit from the clinical service. You will report to a Manager, Clinic Administration.
Role Responsibilities: - Supports daily operations with assistance from the Clinical Supervisor of the Cardiology Clinic.
- Coordinates work activities and schedules in alignment with the Specialty Center, with input from Specialty Clinical and Practice Support Supervisors.
- Verifies cardiology schedules and provider coverage to support patient care responsibilities.
- Assists with cardiac device management.
- Supports clinicians with procedures, charting, relaying instructions to patients and families, answering calls, and providing pertinent information.
- Assists with preparation of Stress ECHOs.
- Communicates ECG abnormalities promptly by notifying the cardiologist.
- Downloads pacemaker interrogation results to the EMR and assigns them to the ordering provider for review.
- Downloads stress test tracings, uploads them to the EMR, and assigns them to the ordering provider for review.
- Administers prescribed medications and monitors patients for signs of deterioration.
- Responds appropriately to cardiac emergencies.
- Assists with training and maintains current cardiology workflows, equipment operation, and equipment maintenance.
- Works with the Central Supply Coordinator to maintain stock levels and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
- Monitors medications and medical supplies for expiration dates.
- Maintains crash cart supplies and supports medication use during a code.
- Performs assigned clerical responsibilities.
- Monitors the Powershare program for incoming and outgoing images.
- Obtains ABNs as necessary.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate maintenance on treadmill equipment.
- Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as needed.
- Fulfills assigned environmental responsibilities.
- Fulfills assigned organizational responsibilities.
- Promotes patient wellness by communicating physician advice and instructions.
- Communicates with clinical and clerical team members to support a successful patient-centered experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications:- Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Florida
- 1+ years of experience in cardiac care, critical care, or a clinical setting with ECG rhythm interpretation
- Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Must maintain current health records with appropriate immunizations required for work in the healthcare field, including Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to read, write and speak fluently in both languages
Additional Information:This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
