What You Will DoThis is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated advanced practice provider to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
- Join an established team of cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Call structure: Every 4th weekend commitment; 1 major or minor holiday per year on a rotating basis
- Practice setting: Inpatient (covering Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center and Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis)
- Access to advanced diagnostic imaging, telemetry, guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) resources, and multidisciplinary specialty support
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified or Board Eligible as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Eligible for Indiana state medical licensure, DEA registration, and current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Manage comprehensive inpatient admissions, cardiology consultations, daily clinical care, and discharge planning for patients presenting with complex acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions such as ACS, CAD, CHF, and pulmonary hypertension.
- Interpret complex diagnostic studies, imaging, and telemetry data to formulate and modify individualized treatment plans, prescribe guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT), and lead patient/family education and multidisciplinary morning rounds.

What You Will NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Masters Degree of Nursing required.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience preferred.
