Advanced Practitioner Role Scope
The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant will provide direct care to patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting in collaboration with physician. Must have ability to identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to physician colleague.
The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant, in collaboration with a licensed physician and in accordance the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice and collaborative relationships, prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic and corrective measures. The provider should exhibit a passion for cardiology and be open to being part of a rapidly growing institute where adaptability is paramount.
Shift: 4-10 hour shifts, one weekend per month, no night call

Qualifications:
Advanced Practitioner Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
• Certification or eligible to be certified National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC.
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical area (such as cardiology) required
• Experience in cardiology preferred
