Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiologist, you will join our dynamic, award winning Cardiovascular Team at our Bonney Lake and Enumclaw clinic locations. We are recognized for exceptional patient care and outcomes throughout the Puget Sound area. Physicians are consistently drawn to this community for its unmatched quality of life, rooted in the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty and year-round outdoor lifestyle.

Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, licensed, and compassionate physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

Opportunity Highlights:
  • Center for Cardiovascular Health: The Center for Cardiovascular Health at VMFH encompasses over 150 providers, including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, advanced heart failure specialists, cardiac imaging specialists, vascular surgeons, thoracic surgeons, cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists, among other specialists. Our programs have achieved significant recognition within the region and nationally for our quality and outcomes. We are a high volume program performing over 1100 open heart surgeries, 2400 PCIs and 2000 ablations annually. We provide care for over 200,000 patients in our cardiology clinics annually and provide inpatient services for our healthcare system that includes over 1500 beds and 11 hospitals in the Greater Seattle Area.
  • Position Details: This position is four days per week. Two days per week at our Enumclaw clinic and two days per week at our Bonney Lake clinic. You will be one of two cardiologists at the Enumclaw location along with an APP. You will be the sole cardiologist, for the most part, at the Bonney Lake clinic. Another cardiologist sees patients a few days per month at this location.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday. Four days per week.
  • Call: Weekday, evening and weekend call shared among 10 cardiologists with a ratio 1:10 weeks. Call involves onsite inpatient rounding at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. Some overnight call required. Nocturnal APP and fellows minimize overnight call.
  • Team based approach: Our team focuses on providing appropriate, compassionate, and state-of-the art medical care for our patients. Our clinicians comprise a dedicated and collaborative team that support each other and work together to create a positive work environment.
  • Learning opportunities: We support opportunities for continuing medical education and professional growth.
  • Innovation: Our culture promotes new approaches, best practice standards and continual improvement for both patient and team member safety using our Virginia Mason Production System with the vision of being the quality leader in healthcare.
