Job Title: Cardiac Cath Tech
Profession: Cardiac Cath Technician

Hours per Shift: 8 hours
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a Cardiac Cath Tech
License: Registered by A.R.R.T.
Certifications: Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR or approved equivalent
Must-Have: Graduate of an AMA Approved School in Radiography or Accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist Program
Description: Primarily responsible for operating and maintaining radiographic equipment for all procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization lab.
Objective is to obtain optimal diagnostic images and provide optimal imaging for interventional procedures.
Ensures a safe environment for patients and personnel.
Graduate of an AMA Approved School in Radiography or Accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist Program is required.
One year of clinical experience is required.
An Associate degree in Radiography or specialized training of one year is preferred.
Registration by A.R.R.T. is required, along with appropriate specialty certifications/credentials.
Must possess a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR certification or an approved equivalent.
Regular exposure to the risk of bloodborne diseases is expected.
Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards.
Regular exposure to infectious agents through daily contact and care of patients.
Use of required protective clothing includes lead apron, thyroid shield, eye and face protection, gowns, gloves, and radiation film badge.
Responsible to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Candidate must understand that the organization is a Drug-Free Campus and the necessity of producing a negative drug screen for all panels.
