Full Job Description
The Capital Project Manager will oversee projects for new capital projects, facility renovations/retrofits, equipment installations, and utility installations and modifications. The work is completed both directly by internal teams, and third-party services such as design firms, trade contractors, construction managers, equipment suppliers, and other service providers. When there are special remodels or projects going on they will oversee that it's according to the plans given by the Owner or General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing project plans, managing resources, and ensuring timely completion while overseeing project quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitates the collection of project requirements, objectives, and expectations, and clearly communicates this information to project teams.
  • Evaluate performance of project team members, or project managers assigned to the function of project management.
  • Leads definition of project objectives, scope development, and front-end engineering in support of the project development and execution.
  • Developing company's Project Management Process in execution of capital projects.
  • Responsible for any work being performed is done in a timely manner and is coordinated with any department that might be affected by the least amount of disruption to our customers or employees.
  • Responsible for pricing supplies and contracted work being performed for the facilities.
  • Responsible for projects or maintenance items on the property have the necessary parts to complete the task at hand.
  • Responsible for the annual facilities maintenance and capital improvement budgets are followed to the number set by the chief financial officer. If the budget can't be maintained justification will be required.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
  • Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
  • Able to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Accountable for project controls: project cost estimating, planning/scheduling, project benchmarking, effective cost control/forecasting, effective project progress control, contracting/procurement-plans, cash flow management and financial status of the project.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Four-year college degree is preferred with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a manager. Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, components and devices, HVAC systems, boilers, mechanical systems and the maintenance/repair of all. Proficient knowledge of public construction and building systems; all related permits, licensing, new and existing codes pertaining to public building and fire safety. Ability to remain informed on state-of-the art developments affecting the safe and effective operation of the building facility. Ability to analyze all associated systems as to their design, intent and effective performance. Skilled in use of computers and software programs associated with property operations. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke and high noise levels. Knowledge of all hotel and casino functions preferred.
