Capital Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of capital projects in a petrochemical environment. The role encompasses directing, coordinating, and optimizing engineering, procurement, and construction activities while serving as the primary liaison with client stakeholders, maintenance, operations and vendor partners. The incumbent will be required define project requirements by developing the SOW and working with engineering vendors to create the necessary construction packages.
Note: This position will be onsite at a petrochemical facility in Pasadena, TX.
Responsibilities/Duties:- Assume overall project performance responsibility, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget constraints.
- Negotiate changes to project scope and deliverables with clients by established procedures.
- Make authoritative decisions and recommendations that significantly impact engineering activities.
- Foster and maintain extensive contacts with key engineers and stakeholders, adeptly navigating critical issues through persuasion and negotiation.
- Recommend and allocate personnel and financial resources to support programs aligned with organizational objectives.
Education and Work Experience:- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience working in the Petrochemical industry.
- Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Proficient in CPM scheduling and project controls and possesses advanced project management expertise.
- Broad knowledge of various engineering disciplines, with particular expertise in at least one discipline.
