Capital Markets Business Analyst - Business Enablement Operation in El Segundo, CAEssential Functions:- Partner with Derivative Trading, Sales, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Market Risk Management, Treasury, and Finance teams to support strategic initiatives, process enhancements, and business objectives
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of interest rate and derivative products, including swaps, caps, floors, collars, and futures, with the ability to analyze pricing inputs, rate resets, and cash settlement calculations
- Perform and oversee daily OTC derivatives activities, including client onboarding, trade verification, settlements, confirmations, lifecycle event processing, and counterparty coordination
- Serve as a subject matter expert for operational processes, providing guidance to junior team members and assisting with issue resolution
- Analyze, define, document, and enhance business processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and control effectiveness
- Review, validate, and maintain client and counterparty data, ensuring data integrity across systems
- Review and approve settlement activity, investigate exceptions, and drive timely resolution of complex settlement and reconciliation issues
- Lead investigations into trade, cash, and reconciliation discrepancies, providing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, counterparties, and external service providers
- Participate in operational and regulatory projects, system implementations, testing efforts, and process improvement initiatives
- Respond to ad hoc inquiries, support audits and examinations, and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation, relationship building, collaboration attention to detail and decision-making skills
- Understanding of the details and mechanics of OTC products (including futures, Options, and swaps) and an inquisitive mind
- Understanding of banking, markets, industry practices, and market trends
- 5 or more years of related experience
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently without direct supervision
- Undergraduate degree in finance or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Calypso, MarkitWire, Tri_Optima and Bloomberg is a plus
Compensation:This position is eligible for a base salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on job-related factors such as experience and qualifications.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual, team, and overall bank performance. Final compensation will vary based on factors including experience, expertise, and location.
