  • Structure, negotiate, and execute debt financing deals, including Warehouse Facilities and Asset-Backed Securitizations.
  • Build and refine analytical tools for evaluating financing strategies and optimizing debt execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-backed portfolio decision-making.
  • Ensure timely financial reporting, troubleshoot aggregation issues, and conduct daily portfolio analysis.

Full Job Description
Octane is hiring a Capital Markets Analyst to join our NYC based team. You will be reporting into the VP of Capital Markets and working closely with the rest of our team to maintain our existing capital partner relationships and assist in forging new ones. You will be heavily involved in streamlining financial reporting including simplifying data aggregation, conducting daily analyses, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. You should be hyper-collaborative, open to challenge and can work across the organization with people in finance, engineering, credit, and operations.

This position is hybrid in our NYC office.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in establishing and growing relationships with potential and existing capital partners, managing key deliverables throughout the fundraising process.
  • Help structure, negotiate, and execute debt financing deals-including Warehouse Facilities and Asset-Backed Securitizations (ABS)-from initial deliverable prep through deal closing.
  • Build and refine analytical tools to evaluate current financing strategies, optimize debt execution, and model future potential financing stages.
  • Partner with Finance, Credit, Sales, Risk, and Data Engineering teams to align cross-functional initiatives and drive data-backed portfolio decision-making.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports, troubleshoot data aggregation issues, conduct daily portfolio analyses, and fulfill ad-hoc requests as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in capital markets, treasury, investment banking, financial services, consulting, or operations.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, strong financial modeling capabilities, and hands-on experience using SQL to query and analyze disparate data sets. Proficiency with Python is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, collaborate effectively across teams, multitask, and deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines.
  • Direct exposure to structured finance, securitization (ABS), or warehouse facility management is preferred.

Compensation: In addition to salary, Total Rewards include a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below. The role described above offers a base salary of $90,000 to $110,000. Your offer will be based on location, the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job and internal equity.
