Description
Job Overview: The Capability Developer - Indirect Effects supports capability development for the Indirect Effects functional battlespace, including indirect fire, counter-defilade lethality, area target rocket capabilities, grenade launchers, BCT-and-below employable rocket systems, shoulder-launched munitions, aiming and range determination capabilities, and related weapon enablers. The position develops capability solutions that address validated Key Operational Problems and supports Army requirements development in accordance with the Joint Force Requirements Process (JFRP).
Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Support capability solutions associated with current, developmental, and future grenade launchers, BCT-and-below employable rocket systems, shoulder-launched munitions, aiming and range determination capabilities, Counter Defilade Target Engagement Capability optics, and related indirect-effects weapon enablers and accessories.
- Develop, write, staff, and adjudicate JFRP documentation, including Capabilities Based Assessments (CBAs), Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), Cost Benefit Analyses (C-BAs), Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), DOTMLPF Change Recommendations (DCRs), Tiered Capability Matrixes (TCMs), and new requirement document formats.
- Support Army Requirements Oversight Council (AROC) and Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) briefings and information requests for MBCT, SBCT, ABCT programs, and future technologies applicable to BCT formations.
- Assist with capability development, doctrine, training, and architecture development, including draft tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), threat assessments, training plans, and Basis of Issue Plans (BOIPs).
- Prepare M-FCD/MCoE Industry Day presentation materials and participate in Warfighter Maneuver Conference activities to capture Soldier requirements and operational feedback.
- Prepare updates, briefings, memorandums, information papers, and other staff products supporting Indirect Effects capability development.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements: - Three years of Capability Development (CAPDEV) project experience; OR DAU Level I certification with two years of CAPDEV experience.
- Six years of active-duty military experience.
- Army Infantry (11-series) or Special Forces (18-series) occupational specialty experience required.
