Position Summary...
Develop and manage store specific building designs for the New Stores Program, ensuring alignment with company standards, program requirements, and approved schedule &budgets. Collaborate with cross functional partners and oversee external consultants to deliver complete construction drawing packages and secure timely municipal approvals.

What you'll do...

This role is responsible for leading the design process for new store projects from pre-approval through completion. It manages all external architectural and engineering consultants, ensuring adherence to program standards, performance expectations, and project schedules. The role collaborates closely with internal partners across real estate, construction, legal, compliance, and others; but does not manage internal teams.

Key responsibilities include evaluating project requirements, coordinating design decisions with consultants and construction teams, and ensuring all design solutions meet code, quality, and program standards. The role reviews design changes, assesses impacts on cost and schedule, and secures required approvals.

This position conducts due diligence activities, participates in scope trips, and prepares post-scope documentation. It oversees the production of accurate building shell drawings and supports the development and tracking of project budgets. Strong organizational skills are required to manage project milestones, monitor risks, and maintain schedule accountability.

The role manages consultant engagement, including fee alignment, contract issuance, and invoice review. It ensures all municipal approvals are obtained on schedule and that consultants meet jurisdictional requirements.

Effective communication and leadership presence are essential. The role prepares and delivers presentations to leadership, influences decision-making, and provides clear updates on risks, design issues, and program impacts. It also works closely with real estate, construction, and legal partners to support their activities and ensure all project requirements are met.

The pay range for this position is $109,400.00 - $150,480.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
