Full Job Description
Construction Superintendent

Orange County, CA

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Superintendent, you are the on-site leader who keeps the work sequenced, the documentation accurate, and the quality exactly where it needs to be. This role is built for someone who takes pride in running a clean, organized site and getting the details right the first time.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

- Run assigned job sites day to day, from first mobilization through closeout, owning the schedule, site safety, and quality standards.

- Build and manage the 3-week Look Ahead Schedule with the Project Manager and Foreman, sequencing trades so the work moves without conflict.

- Produce accurate Daily Site Reports, track RFIs, and keep complete, organized project documentation in Dropbox.

- Lead and participate in every project walk and inspection, including Pre-Punch, Demo, Rough, Pre-Drywall and Paint, Final Punch, and Closeout, and carry every action item to completion.

- Manage and track punch list items to timely, quality resolution.

- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, Foremen, and field labor to hold code compliance, workmanship quality, and schedule.

- Run daily site safety inspections and keep safety documentation current and accurate.

You will be the person clients, trade partners, and crews count on to run the site right. When something goes sideways on site, the call is yours to make, and you make it.

WHAT YOU BRING

Must-haves:

- 3 to 5 years of construction experience running or supporting active job sites.

- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent time running construction projects in the field.

- Working knowledge of construction methodologies and local, state, and federal building codes.

- A track record of running a site by process and documentation, not by memory.

- Willing to travel between job sites, and to stay overnight when a project requires it.

- Able to work on active job sites: lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.

Nice-to-haves:

- Bilingual in English and Spanish.

- Experience managing multiple projects or complex scopes at the same time.

- Strong, hands-on leadership of crews and subcontractors.

If you need constant direction to keep a site organized, this is not the right fit. If you would rather get the details right than move fast and clean it up later, keep reading.

THE WORK ITSELF

This is a full-time field role on active job sites in and around Orange County, California. You will be on your feet on site daily, in varying weather, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Regular travel between job sites is required, and some projects will call for overnight travel away from home. You will run safety every day and hold the site to code.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Pay Range: $95,000 to $148,000 per year, based on experience and level.

Spyder backs its people with stability and steady support. That starts with company-paid life insurance and reliable paid time off and sick leave, and includes a 401(k) with a 4% company match to support your long-term goals. You also get health, dental, and vision insurance, optional accident and critical illness coverage, and an employee assistance program for confidential support.
