Full Job Description
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES
1. Manage the STAAR calibration and maintenance programs in Monrovia, Aliso Viejo and Tustin. Ensure all calibrated instruments are currently calibrated and records/files are complete and up to date.
2. Maintain calibration records within CMMS or calibration management software.
3. Maintain daily/weekly schedules to ensure accurate resource allocation and timely completion.
4. Maintain scheduling calendars to align team priorities and workflow
5. Support field technician during onsite services request with accuracy.
6. Manage and maintain the scheduling database for the successful operation of the calibration and maintenance departments.
7. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, or other regulatory standards. traceability to national/international standards (e.g., NIST).
8. Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors who are involved in the calibration and maintenance of equipment.
9. Prepare, review and verify records for out-of-tolerance conditions and recommend corrective actions.
10. Work with equipment owners to resolve calibration, maintenance and installation issues.
11. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & TRAINING
• High School diploma or GED required. Technical certification, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• A Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in science or engineering a plus.

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the medical device industry, including the practical application of Quality System Regulation and ISO 13485with a High School diploma; 4 years' experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years' experience with an advanced degree.
• Proficiency using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

SKILLS
• Knowledge of calibration.
• Written and verbal communication skills, which helps in ensuring that instructions are properly given and understood to avoid error.
• Interpersonal skills: the coordinator needs strong human relations skills to be able to relate effectively with people of different backgrounds to achieve set goals on the job.
• Must be multitasking must be able to complete multiple assignments within a reasonable period and meet deadlines.
• Good decision-making skills: think logically and analytically to ensure the right decisions are made concerning the use of equipment, to avoid equipment failure during production process.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of Windows-based software, including Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point.
• Must work as a team player, be self-directed, and work effectively with personnel at all levels within the organization in a rapidly changing environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train others.
• Ability to record data and write reports.
• Experience with managing and configuring electronic management system software (eQMS).

Pay range: $75K - $105K - Final compensation/salary will depend on experience.
