  • Perform QA/QC on drawings to align with CAD standards.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project progression.

CAD TECHNOLOGIST

A Day in the Life

As an CAD Technologist, in our Calgary or Edmonton office you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $31.00 to $55.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • We are growing our CAD team and looking for a Civil CAD Technologist with 2+ years of experience. We welcome a range of candidates who want todevelop theirskillsand take ownership of quality design work in water resources and civil infrastructure.

  • Prepare clear,accurateCAD drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Worktypesinclude stormwater, erosion and sediment control, municipal infrastructure,riverandchannel design.

  • Build surfaces, alignments, profiles,sections,corridors,grading plans,and 3D models from survey data, LiDAR, and field inputs.

  • Produce plan, profile, and cross-section drawings for design and construction packages.

  • Interpret survey data, field notes, UAV imagery, and site photography to support design and as-built deliverables.

  • Complete material take-offstosupport quantity and cost estimates.

  • Perform QA/QC on drawings. Keep work clean, consistent, and aligned with CAD standards.

  • Coordinate with engineers, scientists, surveyors, and clients to keep projects moving.

  • Help improve CAD standards, workflows, and efficiency.

  • Share knowledge and support junior team members in a practical, team-first way.
