Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a
CAD Designer to support a company focused on advanced engineering, scientific research, and national security technology development. This position is
on-site in
Albuquerque, NM. The
CAD Designer will support engineering teams by creating and maintaining complex 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings for highly specialized projects. Join a mission-driven environment where your design expertise will contribute to cutting-edge research and engineering initiatives.
Responsibilities for the CAD Designer include: - Create and modify 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings from established engineering concepts and designs
- Develop technical documentation and production drawings for complex mechanical systems and equipment
- Collaborate closely with engineers and scientists to interpret design requirements, manufacturing processes, materials, and project schedules
- Support large, complex assemblies consisting of hundreds to thousands of components
- Assist with configuration management, document control, and design documentation activities
Required Qualifications for the CAD Designer include: - 3+ years of experience with Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD)
- Experience with 3D modeling, large assemblies, and technical drawing creation
- Proficiency with PTC Creo, Windchill/PDMLink, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and manufacturing processes
- Associate's degree in a related technical field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L Clearance
Compensation for the CAD Designer includes: - Salary Range: $100,000-118,000 depending on experience
