Full Job Description
The CAAS Senior Manager is responsible for all engagements, including supervision of associates through managers, managing client satisfaction and planning, scheduling, and staffing. The CAAS Senior Manager will ensure that assignments and deliverables are conducted and prepared in accordance with professional and firm standards.

Position Details:

  • Title: CAAS Senior Manager

  • Department: Client Accounting & Advisory Services - Outsourced Accounting (CAAS-OA)
  • Location: Plano
  • Office Expectations/Hours: Hybrid- 3 days/week in office minimum; general work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day between 8am to 5pm with overtime, as needed.


What You Will Do

  • Lead a portfolio of outsourced accounting and advisory engagements, with hands-on involvement in complex accounting matters, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, controller and CFO support, and special projects.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business objectives, anticipating needs, translating financial information into practical insights, and recommending solutions that improve decision-making, processes, and performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, executives, and finance leaders through proactive communication, responsive service, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
  • Assess clients' accounting processes, systems, data flows, and internal controls; identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve how work is performed and information is delivered.
  • Lead the selection, implementation, integration, and adoption of accounting and finance technology across client engagements and the CAAS practice, including developing repeatable workflows, documentation, and quality-control standards. Remain hands-on with systems, data, workpapers, and deliverables when needed; troubleshoot issues, review complex work, and help teams move engagements forward.
  • Plan, scope, schedule, staff, and monitor engagements to ensure responsibilities and deadlines are clear and deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with professional and firm standards.
  • Lead engagement teams through associates, seniors, and managers by setting expectations, delegating effectively, removing obstacles, and promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop team capabilities through timely feedback, coaching, training, and knowledge sharing, with particular emphasis on advisory skills, client communication, process improvement, and effective use of technology.
  • Manage engagement economics, including budgets, WIP, billing, scope changes, collections, and resource needs; address issues promptly and communicate fee considerations clearly with clients.
  • Support practice growth and strategic initiatives by contributing to proposals and presentations, identifying additional ways to serve clients, participating in the business community, and helping shape scalable CAAS service offerings.


What You Need to Get Here

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA preferred
  • 8-12 years of progressive experience in public accounting (audit or tax), outsourced accounting, advisory, controllership, CFO, or industry accounting roles, including responsibility for multiple client engagements and teams. Public Accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to move between strategic leadership and hands-on execution, including solving complex accounting, process, data, and systems issues.
  • Strong technology skills and experience evaluating, implementing, integrating, or optimizing accounting and finance systems, with proficiency in platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to lead and work respectfully and productively with diverse individuals in a variety of roles.
