Job DescriptionAs Buyer at Sensient Agricultural Ingredients, you will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring the right materials, equipment, and services are available at the right time. In this role, you will balance day-to-day purchasing needs with longer term planning, helping maintain strong service levels while supporting quality and cost goals. This position is based on site in a professional office environment with periodic exposure to laboratory and manufacturing plant settings.
What you'll do:- Secure raw materials, equipment, and services needed to support plant operations
- Negotiate complex contracts to achieve strong service, quality, and cost outcomes
- Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements, including managing supplier exceptions and audits
- Integrate materials planning with sales and operations planning to support efficient procurement activities
- Coordinate inventory targets and support cash cycle objectives related to raw materials
- Analyze current processes, recommend improvements, and implement changes
- Communicate updates on raw material costs and purchasing activities to cross functional teams and leadership
What you'll bring:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of purchasing or procurement experience in a professional setting
- Knowledge of accounting, inventory control, and supply chain processes
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
- Analytical thinking and a results driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
