We're looking for a
driven and strategic Buyer to join our Materials team-someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and knows how to balance cost, quality, and delivery with strong supplier partnerships.
This is an onsite role in our Fremont, CA facility.Responsibilities:As a Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly by managing procurement activities and supplier relationships. This is a
high-impact role where you'll operate independently and influence cross-functional success.
- Manage and prioritize daily procurement activities across multiple commodities
- Create, place, and manage purchase orders aligned with MRP and production demands
- Source and onboard new vendors, including qualification, certifications, and onboarding documentation
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to achieve cost savings while minimizing risk
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and contract requirements
- Lead resolution efforts for pricing, delivery, and quality issues-escalating when needed
- Partner with internal teams as a trusted advisor on supply chain and procurement matters
- Conduct supplier business reviews and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery
- Analyze inventory and support reduction of excess and obsolete materials
Qualifications:We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with relationship-building skills and a sense of urgency.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in production buying (electronics or high-tech manufacturing preferred)
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred)
- Proven negotiation and supplier management experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
