Business Unit Control - Treasury
What You'll Do
• Own the daily T+1 financing P&L process across asset classes, including P&L explain, attribution, variance analysis, and commentary
• Serve as the primary contact for Portfolio Managers on financing-related questions, providing clear insight into financing costs, positions, and daily P&L drivers
• Partner across Operations, Middle Office, Finance, and Technology to validate inputs, reconcile data, and maintain accurate financing P&L reporting
• Investigate and resolve breaks, discrepancies, and data quality issues in a timely manner
• Produce daily and weekly reporting for senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and exceptions
• Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the firm
• Enhance tools, workflows, and reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
• Contribute to automation, process improvement, and strategic system initiatives across the team
What You Bring
• 2+ years of relevant experience in portfolio finance, product control, or P&L production within financial services; hedge fund or investment bank experience preferred
• Experience with risk-based P&L explain and attribution across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and FX
• Strong understanding of the full T+1 P&L cycle, including data validation, controls, reconciliations, and reporting
• Ability to analyze and explain P&L against general ledger and accounting data
• Proven success partnering with investment professionals, trading desks, senior management, and cross-functional teams
• Advanced Excel skills and SQL proficiency for data extraction, validation, and analysis
• Experience with Murex, Geneva, or Imagine is a plus; Visio and PowerPoint skills are preferred
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities
Salary Range
Millennium offers a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
