Job DescriptionSenior Business Unit Analyst - Maintenance Resource ManagementUnder general supervision, performs complex financial, analytical, and operational support activities for OCTA's Maintenance Resource Management team. This position leads budget development, financial planning, performance reporting, contract administration, and strategic analysis to support maintenance operations and agency initiatives. The Senior Business Unit Analyst serves as a trusted resource for data-driven decision-making and oversees key administrative programs that contribute to the efficient management of maintenance resources.
This is an exempt position in salary grade 195: Min - $91,852.80 | Mid - $109,137.60 | Max - $126,401.60/year. The starting salary will be within this range based on qualifications.
This posting will remain open until a candidate is selected.What You'll Do- Lead budget development, financial forecasting, expenditure tracking, and long-range planning for Maintenance Resource Management programs.
- Administer key agency programs, including maintenance and facilities contract invoice processing, requisitions, change orders, and DMV filings.
- Analyze financial and operational data to support budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models, performance dashboards, and analytical reports for management.
- Prepare presentations, reports, budget worksheets, accruals, and other business communications.
- Monitor project expenditures, performance metrics, and operational trends, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluate proposed budget changes and provide feasibility analyses and recommendations.
- Research industry trends and best practices to support continuous improvement and long-term planning.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support agency-wide initiatives, including strategic transit, fleet, and personnel planning.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to successfully implement programs and resolve operational issues.

Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience..
- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, budgeting, financial planning, program administration, or a related field with responsibilities similar to those described.
