Position Overview

As a Business Systems Analyst Senior within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Dallas, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL or Denver, CO.

Preferred Skills-
• Extensive experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements, translating complex business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience and working knowledge of mobile applications (iOS and Android), including understanding mobile user journeys, app-backend interactions, API consumption patterns, and how mobile constraints impact requirements and system design.
• Strong ability to act as a bridge between business, product, and engineering teams, ensuring alignment on scope, priorities, dependencies, and solution design for API- and microservices-based platforms.
• Hands-on experience working with APIs and integrations, including reviewing API contracts, validating request/response payloads, and supporting end-to-end flows using tools such as Postman.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end system integrations, including microservices architectures, upstream/downstream dependencies, and how backend services support mobile applications.
• Proficiency using Jira for Agile delivery, including backlog management, story refinement, defect tracking, and supporting sprint ceremonies in Scrum teams.
• Strong experience documenting requirements and system knowledge in Confluence, including functional documentation, process flows, dependencies, and release notes.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, actively participating in backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
• Proven expertise in creating high-quality analysis artifacts, such as BRDs, FRDs, process flows, data mappings, and sequence diagrams that enable efficient development and testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess business and technical impacts, identify risks, and propose scalable solutions.
• Experience supporting testing and validation efforts, collaborating with QA and development teams to clarify requirements, review test cases, validate API behavior, and assist with defect triage.
• Solid understanding of data flows and business rules, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across integrated systems.
• Experience working in large, regulated enterprise environments, with awareness of controls, risk management, audit requirements, and change management processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and facilitate decision-making.

Job Description
  • Participates in analyzing business requirements and production specifications for changes made to technology applications.
  • Formulates and defines the system scope and objectives, based on user needs and business processes .
  • Directs business process improvement projects for internal business groups, aiming to improve business results .
  • Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes .
  • Provides recommendations for addressing and resolving business issues, for a specific business group .

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $51,750.00 - $108,445.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
