Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for managing and executing the day-to-day development, support, maintenance, and enhancement of the Technology & Solution's department's products, including but not limited to Workday and Adaptive Planning. The Business System Analyst identifies, plans and leads integration strategies while working closely with functional leaders, organizational units, subject matter experts, and other Technology & Solutions resources. The Business Systems Analyst will creatively lead the design, development and testing to implement new solutions and maintain complex systems while closely following internal change management procedures. This individual is skilled at solving integration problems by utilizing their technical knowledge and will implement technically sound, secure, and scalable solutions. The Business Systems Analyst is an internally motivated, critical thinker who possesses a positive attitude and can navigate all levels of the organization effectively. This position conducts business process and functional analysis to document needs and to design creative solutions that include new processes, features, and reports. The Business Systems Analyst may also identify areas for improvement and will be a focal point for communication between customers and other technical team members.

What you'll do
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the business processes, data structures, workflow, and data that utilize Workday and Adaptive, and/or require Technology & Solutions team resources
  • Maintain a current and thorough understanding of Workday and Adaptive Planning capabilities and best practices
  • Assist with support and reporting in the Workday Accounting, Payroll, HR, Learning, Recruiting, and Financial Planning subsystems
  • Identify best practices and standards for solution design and ensure adherence to those standards
  • Monitor performance and resolve reported issues in support of the Workday and Adaptive Planning environment and related processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and constituents to collect a list of ideas and potential projects to improve the current systems (including but not limited to Workday and Adaptive Planning)
  • Develop subject matter expertise on Workday and Adaptive Planning capabilities, upgrades and new releases
  • Manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently, meeting established deadlines
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among diverse groups at all levels of the organization
  • Provide candid, transparent and effective communication to empower customers and enable success
  • Build rapport and knowledge of customers to ensure a thorough understanding of their business processes in order to design and develop trusted, efficient, and scalable solutions
  • Document technical solutions in clear, comprehensive language that can be utilized by both technical and non-technical resources
  • Evaluate, test, and trouble-shoot Workday and Adaptive Planning updates and releases upgrades
  • Think creatively to design and create new ways for using the Workday and Adaptive Planning features
  • Provide end user support, including troubleshooting, report maintenance and development
  • Analyze reporting needs, create specifications and assist in the maintenance and development of reports and self-service reporting solutions
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and queries as needed
  • Identify opportunities and implement changes to streamline reporting
  • Develop and document administrative and maintenance processes and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


What you'll need
  • Experience managing of the Adaptive Planning and it's development functions
  • Experience managing the Workday platform and its development functions
  • Understanding of Salesforce CRM
  • Compelling interest and investment in enterprise Finance and HR systems and best practices
  • Knowledge of configuring enterprise systems
  • Ability to break down complex business problems into processes and components
  • Collaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment
  • Strong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and by phone with both technical and non-technical staff
  • Capable of maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries, and university business
  • Ability to create dashboards and reports in Workday and Power BI / Fabric
  • Ability to design, build, and coordinate integrations in Workday and Adaptive Planning
  • Ability to create technical documentation
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties

Relevant qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business, or related field AND
  • Four (4) + years of experience in Workday administration including Adaptive Planning.
