Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of the Water Information Management program.
  • Act as the first contact for the IM program within WQRA.
  • Consult with stakeholders to identify information management needs and issues.
  • Manage lifecycle of division information in compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Ensure information management aligns with City standards and industry best practices.
  • Oversee procurement and external billing for various work areas.
  • Serve as the contact for logging and confirming facility maintenance requests.
  • Provide administrative support, including taking meeting minutes, and maintaining WQRA Quality Management System documents.

Full Job Description
As a Business Support Coordinator, you will be instrumental in helping team members within Water Quality and Regulatory Assurance (WQRA) maintain records and information, purchase and receive shipments, and deliver on administrative duties to support the division. Primary duties include:
  • Support the development and implementation of the Water Information Management (IM) program, including division specific IM processes, standards and guidelines, and best management practices.
  • Act as the first point of contact for WQRA regarding the IM program.
  • Consult with interest parties to identify IM requirements and issues.
  • Provide lifecycle management of division information in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Ensure that WQRA information is managed according to Water IM, City standards, and industry best practices.
  • Perform purchasing and external billing for various work areas within the division.
  • Act as the point of contact to log and confirm the resolution of facility maintenance work requests.
  • Provide administrative support activities, including meeting minutes, within WQRA.
  • Update and maintain WQRA Quality Management System documents.
Qualifications
  • A completed 2 year diploma in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related discipline and at least 3 years of experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams) is required.
  • Working knowledge of 3-1-1's Customer Service Request (CSR), PeopleSoft Financials & Supply Chain Management (FSCM), Content Server, and Adobe will be considered assets.
  • Experience working in a technical and administrative support position will be an asset.
  • Success in this position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, and strong attention to detail while dealing with multiple competing demands.
  • The successful applicant must be adaptable and possess the ability to learn new technical skills.
