Job Description

Business Strategy Director

We have an opportunity for a Business Strategy Director to join our Corporate Strategy team remotely in the United States, reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Strategy. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic analysis, business planning, and end-to-end execution of high-impact programs with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions and post-merger integration.

You will help Infoblox evaluate strategic opportunities, build fact-based recommendations, and translate decisions into durable operating results. As you deepen your understanding of our products, go-to-market strategy, customer lifecycle, partner ecosystem, and operations, you will identify opportunities to improve growth, customer value, retention, expansion, and operational effectiveness. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will support M&A activities and deliver clear, actionable insights to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Be a Contributor - What You'll Do

  • Lead structured strategic analyses, ideation sessions, and planning workshops with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Scope ambiguous business questions, establish a defensible fact base, test assumptions, and develop executive recommendations
  • Support M&A strategy and execution, including market and company analysis, strategic rationale, synergy assessment, diligence, integration planning, and value tracking
  • Develop post-merger integration plans covering decision rights, governance, milestones, dependencies, communications, risks, and outcomes
  • Assess competing operating models and recommend practical choices that balance customer experience, business performance, organizational effectiveness, and people impact
  • Map current-state and future-state customer journeys across enterprise, mid-market, partner/MSSP, product-led growth, digital-touch, and long-tail segments
  • Evaluate customer lifecycle, customer success, renewal, retention, expansion, channel, and partner-intermediated motions to identify best practices
  • Build business cases, financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses, investment recommendations, and executive decision materials
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution while maintaining alignment across teams that do not report directly to you
  • Establish measurement frameworks, repeatable playbooks, and best practices that connect M&A and strategic initiatives to measurable business outcomes

Be Prepared - What You Bring

  • 12+ years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, strategic consulting, business operations, transformation leadership, or a related field
  • Experience with an MBB, Big Four strategy, or specialist go-to-market or customer-success advisory practice, combined with operating or implementation experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting M&A and post-merger integration, including operating-model evaluation, integration priorities, and value realization
  • Experience with enterprise software customer lifecycle, customer success, renewals, retention, expansion, channel, or partner-intermediated markets
  • Background in networking, DDI, security, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, or adjacent enterprise technology
  • Experience with partner-led motions and product-led growth or digital-touch motion design for long-tail segments
  • Proven ability to build fact-based analyses, financial models, business cases, forecasts, scenario analyses, and performance measurement frameworks
  • Ability to lead through influence and deliver results when Field, Renewals, IT, and partner organizations do not report directly to you
  • Practical experience using AI and automation tools for research, analysis, productivity, content development, or decision support, with sound judgment regarding validation and confidential information
  • Excellent executive communication, storytelling, presentation, writing, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills; bachelor's degree required and MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred

Be Successful - Your Path

First 90 Days: Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short- and long-term goals.

Six Months:

  • Establish trusted partnerships with executive and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Develop a prioritized portfolio of M&A and strategic opportunities supported by market analysis, operating-model insights, financial models, and recommendations
  • Document current-state customer journeys and operating practices across priority segments
  • Advance at least one M&A, integration, or strategic initiative into measurable execution

One Year:

  • Own a significant M&A, post-merger integration, or corporate strategy workstream through value realization
  • Establish repeatable integration, decision-support, planning, journey-mapping, and measurement practices
  • Deliver measurable progress in retention, expansion, revenue growth, operating efficiency, synergy realization, or customer experience
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership and mentor colleagues through structured problem-solving and cross-functional execution

Belong- Your Community

Our culture thrives on inclusion, rewarding the bold ideas, curiosity, and creativity that move us forward. In a community where every voice counts, continuous learning is the norm. So, whether you code, create, sell, or care for customers, you'll grow and belong here.

  • Learning opportunities, career-mobility programs, and leadership workshops
  • Sixteen paid volunteer hours each year, global employee resource groups, and a "No Jerks" policy that keeps collaboration healthy
