Leveraging value-based selling techniques and industry best practices, the BSM helps customers accelerate business outcomes through successful deployment and adoption of PTC solutions.

This role is responsible for identifying, positioning, and selling both attached and non-attach services opportunities across industries that rely on asset-intensive service operations, including manufacturing, industrial equipment, energy, utilities, oil & gas, medical technology, life sciences, telecommunications, automotive, and other field service-centric organizations.

The BSM develops customer-specific Statements of Work (SOWs) and service strategies that align to business objectives, drive measurable outcomes, and maximize customer value realization. Success in this role requires close collaboration with Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Professional Services Leadership, and Partner teams to expand services revenue while ensuring successful customer outcomes throughout the solution lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with account teams to develop services-led engagement strategies that increase customer value and expand services penetration across existing accounts.

  • Maintain a robust services pipeline and accurately forecast opportunities through all stages of the sales cycle.

Outcome Based Focus

  • Engage customers in executive-level business discussions to understand strategic objectives, operational challenges, and desired business outcomes.

  • Consult on business transformation initiatives related to field service management, asset service management, workforce optimization, service revenue growth, digital transformation, and service lifecycle excellence.

  • Identify and articulate critical success factors required for customers to successfully acquire, implement, adopt, and realize value from PTC solutions.

Scope Verification

  • Lead discovery, requirements definition, solution scoping, effort estimation, and services proposal development.

  • Recommend implementation approaches, service offerings, and adoption strategies that maximize customer value while balancing delivery risk and business objectives.

  • Develop clear, comprehensive Statements of Work that align customer expectations with project scope, timeline, deliverables, and success criteria.

Executive Engagement & Deal Leadership

  • Lead complex services sales cycles from operational stakeholders through executive leadership, including Director, VP, CIO, COO, and CEO levels.

  • Serve as the trusted advisor for customers evaluating business transformation initiatives enabled by field service and service lifecycle management solutions.

  • Collaborate effectively across Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Professional Services, Finance, Legal, and Partner organizations to drive deal closure and customer success.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience selling Professional Services, Advisory Services, Consulting Services, or Customer Success offerings in an enterprise software environment.

  • Demonstrated success in driving non-attach services revenue and developing services-led sales strategies.

  • Strong experience leading discovery, project scoping, effort estimation, proposal development, and Statement of Work creation.

  • Knowledge of field service management, service lifecycle management, asset-centric operations, or enterprise service transformation initiatives.

  • Experience supporting customers in two or more of the following industries:

  • Manufacturing

  • Industrial Equipment

  • Energy & Utilities

  • Oil & Gas

  • Medical Technology / Life Sciences

  • Telecommunications

  • Automotive

  • Aerospace & Defense

  • Construction & Field Services

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across internal stakeholders, partners, and executive customer sponsors.

  • Experience presenting and selling to C-level executives and business decision-makers.

  • Strong consultative selling, business acumen, and value-selling skills.

  • Previous quota-carrying sales experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field

What We Offer:

  • An opportunity to influence the growth and expansion of PTC's Services business and Service Lifecycle Management portfolio.

  • Partnership with industry experts, sales leaders, and consulting professionals to accelerate career growth.
