Work Environment This is a hybrid-eligible position, where Monday through Wednesday would be working in one of our offices, with Thursday and Friday eligible for work-from-home days. Office locations include: Reno (NV), Monterey (CA), Roseville (CA), Bakersfield (CA), Phoenix (AZ), and Spokane (WA).
Job OverviewThe Business Solutions team represents all business stakeholders in the definition and prioritization of the initiatives, projects, and efforts within CIG.
The Business Solutions Manager is responsible for supervising the resources assigned to key operational initiatives and projects. This is a critical position that requires effective estimation, planning, teamwork and collaboration to develop and implement cost effective solutions to meet business needs and requirements.
The Business Solutions Manager will assist in leading design, development, and deployment of solutions, tools and processes required organization, including policy administration, billing, claims, sales, and customer portal solutions. Provides business leadership for technological initiatives, working with program managers and their teams throughout the development and delivery process, including implementation, maintenance, customer service, end-user systems training, and quality control. Helps to ensure data integrity, processing capabilities, and consistency in approach to support achievement of departmental and company business plan objectives.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned manager with a history of managerial success. It is the role of the manager to elevate the team, escalate any issues, and remove roadblocks to further the team's success. This role requires exceptional leadership and motivational skills.
Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree in business, technology, mathematics, or related field, (or its equivalent) and continuing education related to the job.
- 8+ years of related work experience in P&C Insurance (Personal Lines, Commercial, Agriculture), particularly with respect to business processes and business solutions, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.
- 2+ years team management experience.
- Formal or informal experience managing projects and consulting.
- Thorough knowledge of insurance operational functions, including underwriting, rating, agency automation, sales, billing, claims, and customer service activities.
- Proven ability to assemble, mentor and grow cross-functional teams.
- Strong English communication skills through written and verbal communication, with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives and customers.
- Ability to promote and foster teamwork and a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to mentor and develop staff.
- Strong problem solving and problem identification skills to identify and mitigate obstacles and conflicts in advance.
- Experience exercising influence on outcomes both with and without formal authority.
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary Range: $111,000 - $185,000
The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as benefits and bonus programs.
