The Business Solution Leader shapes how the firm operates, connecting business strategy, operating model design, digital and data-driven innovation to create measurable impact. This leader sits at the intersection of business, operations, and technology, architecting efficient, digital and AI-ready, insight-enabled ways of working. With depth in business architecture, process engineering, and digital design, they ensure strategic ambition translates into scalable execution. Acting as the integrator between business, operations, and technology, this leader drives design excellence, operational innovation, and enterprise-wide adoption of new ways of working. A background in engineering or systems design is highly valued, it brings the structured, analytical, and problem-solving mindset essential to reimagining complex enterprise processes through a digital, data and technology lens. Key Accountabilities: Enterprise Design & Business Architecture: 37Enterprise Design:37 Define, evolve and implement Target Operating Models (TOMs) integrating people, process, data, and technology. 37Process Engineering:37 Lead end-to-end business process reengineering (BPR), to simplify and digitize key workflows across the value chain, applying Lean Six Sigma and systems-engineering principles to eliminate waste and complexity. 37Data & AI Enablement:37 Embed analytics, automation, and AI into core workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation. 37Operational Excellence:37 Establish design standards, metrics, and telemetry to drive continuous improvement and value realization. 37Innovation Leadership:37 Identify, pilot, and scale intelligent automation and digital capabilities that deliver tangible business impact. 37Cross-Functional Integration:37 Align stakeholders across business units, shared services, and technology to ensure cohesive execution and sustained adoption. Data, Digital & AI Enablement: 37 Partner with Digital, Data and Technology leaders to embed analytics, intelligent automation, and AI into the fabric of operations. 37 Identify high-value opportunities where data and AI can enhance performance, speed, and client experience. 37 Ensure operating models are data-centric, AI-ready, and insight-driven, supported by strong governance and telemetry. 37 Advocate for responsible, ethical AI use in alignment with enterprise standards and controls. Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement: 37 Apply Lean Six Sigma and systems-engineering methods to eliminate inefficiencies drive operational excellence and eliminate friction. 37 Build and maintain standardized design frameworks, metrics, and telemetry to monitor process performance. 37 Establish a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. 37 Leverage engineering principles, such as systems design, root-cause analysis, and iterative optimization, to build sustainable performance improvement. 37 Define key performance indicators, dashboards, and feedback mechanisms to monitor process health and adoption. 37 Establish reusable frameworks and playbooks to accelerate future design and optimization work. 37 In partnership with Transformation & Change teams, lead the change enablement required for successful adoption of new operating models, processes, and digital capabilities. 37 Develop stakeholder engagement strategies, communication plans, and behavioral adoption metrics. 37 Partner with business, HR and communications teams to build change capability and sustain results post-implementation. 37 Ensure designs translate into measurable user, client, and colleague impact, not just conceptual models. Stakeholder Leadership & Execution Alignment: 37 Operate as a trusted connector across business, operations, and technology, ensuring end-to-end alignment. Strong business acumen & strategic thinking 37 Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical & non-technical stakeholders 37 Influence senior leaders to make evidence-based, data-driven decisions that link strategy to measurable outcomes. 37 Orchestrate execution across multiple initiatives and dependencies with clarity and discipline. Govern delivery interlocks to ensure alignment of design, investment, and execution. 37 Champion innovation, engineering thinking, and accountability across functions. 37 Commercial awareness of market & industry trends. Experience & Qualifications: 37 10+ years' experience in business architecture, process optimization, or enterprise design in financial services: insurance, banking, or consulting. 37 Bachelor's or Master's degree Engineering, Systems Design, Computer Science, or related field is strongly preferred. 37 Proven expertise in Target Operating Model (TOM) design, business process reengineering (BPR), and data-enabled optimization eg. strong understanding of the insurance value chain: distribution, underwriting, claims, policy servicing. 37 Certified Lean Six Sigma (or equivalent). 37 Solid understanding of AI, intelligent automation, digital platforms, and enterprise data architecture. 37 Exceptional analytical, facilitation, and executive communication skills; able to translate between business and technology audiences. 37 Experience embedding change management in enterprise process or system redesigns. Impact Statement This role builds an institutional capability in enterprise design and data-driven execution, enabling Marsh businesses to modernize their operating models, scale AI and digital innovation responsibly, and achieve sustainable performance gains and data-enabled ways of working that accelerate growth and resilience. The applicable base salary range for this role is $164,200 to $328,300. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
